Hyundai Genesis Recalls 30,000 Units in the US... "Possible Oil Leak"

Hyundai Motor Company is reportedly recalling about 30,000 Genesis vehicles in the United States, according to foreign media reports.

On the 16th (local time), major foreign media reported that the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on the 14th that Hyundai is recalling 28,439 vehicles due to the possibility of oil leakage, which could increase the risk of engine compartment fires.


According to NHTSA, the recall targets vehicles equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine, including the 2019?2022 G70, 2017?2022 G90, and some 2018?2020 G80 models.


Earlier, nearly 170,000 electric vehicles from Hyundai and Kia were recalled in South Korea.


The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 14th that four companies?Hyundai, Kia, Stellantis Korea, and Tesla Korea?are initiating recalls for 232,000 vehicles across 12 models due to manufacturing defects.


The 169,932 recalled Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles are reported to have errors in the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) software.
