Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'Disability Welfare Committee Regular Meeting' held at the Yeongdeungpo District Office annex on the morning of the 15th as the chairman and took a commemorative photo with the committee members.
On this day, the district awarded appointment letters to 18 committee members who have extensive knowledge and experience in related fields. In particular, 9 of the 18 members are persons with disabilities, who will work to discover more substantial projects that residents can directly feel.
At this meeting, the district reviewed and approved the '1st Five-Year Basic Plan for Supporting Persons with Developmental Disabilities.'
The basic plan focuses on key tasks such as ▲improving care conditions ▲fostering jobs ▲establishing a foundation for independence. Additionally, the district shared this year's key matters, including being selected for the 'Lifelong Learning City for Persons with Disabilities' project for two consecutive years and securing 100 million KRW in national funds to promote projects in solidarity with the vulnerable, and had an in-depth discussion on disability welfare policies.
