[Tomorrow's Weather] Weekend Mostly Mild... Chilly from Sunday Evening

Lower-than-average temperatures next week
First yellow dust observation expected in Korea on the 16th

On the weekend of the 16th, it will be mild due to the influence of high pressure.

The morning low temperature on this day is expected to range between -1°C and 8°C, and the daytime high temperature is expected to be between 13°C and 20°C. This is slightly above the average temperature (morning low between -3°C and 5°C, daytime high between 10°C and 14°C).

The expected minimum temperatures in major cities are 5°C in Seoul, Ulsan, and Incheon; 2°C in Daejeon; 4°C in Gwangju and Daegu; and 8°C in Busan. The maximum temperatures are 18°C in Seoul and Ulsan; 15°C in Incheon; 20°C in Daejeon, Gwangju, and Daegu; and 18°C in Busan.

Daytime temperatures in the southern regions will rise to around 20°C, making it generally mild, but mornings will be chilly with temperatures dropping below freezing mainly in inland areas.

Along the west coast, fog will form due to the warm west winds passing over the relatively cold West Sea. Rain will begin in Jeju in the afternoon.

Fine dust levels in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Chungbuk will be 'bad', while other regions will have 'moderate' levels. For a brief period in the morning, Daegu and Gyeongbuk will also experience 'bad' dust levels.

From the afternoon of Sunday the 17th, temperatures will drop, making it chillier than usual. Early in the morning, raindrops will fall in inland Gyeongbuk, and sporadic light rain will occur in the metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Gangwon mountain areas, and Chungcheong in the morning. Although precipitation amounts will be small, Jeju will receive about 5 to 30 mm of rain.

During this weekend, only Saturday will see poor air quality mainly in the central regions, while Sunday will see a return to moderate levels.

Fine dust levels nationwide will be moderate, but there may be temporary 'bad' levels in Gyeonggi and Yeongseo in Gangwon during the morning.
