4.4 Billion KRW Donated Over 18 Years
KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 15th that it donated 200 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross. The donation ceremony held at the Korean Red Cross Seoul Office in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Kim Cheol-su, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross, Lee Jae-geun, President of KB Kookmin Bank, and officials from both organizations.
The donation will be used to support vulnerable groups facing financial difficulties, domestic and international disaster emergency relief activities, health and safety projects, and various humanitarian initiatives.
Kookmin Bank has been donating to the Korean Red Cross annually since 2007. The total accumulated donation over 18 years amounts to 4.4 billion KRW.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We hope this donation will bring hope to our neighbors living in welfare blind spots," adding, "We will do our best to spread a culture of coexistence through sharing and fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
