Expansion of China Routes... T'way, First Domestic LCC to Launch Service to Beijing Daxing

T'way Air will become the first domestic low-cost carrier (LCC) to operate flights to Beijing Daxing Airport in China. Following its long-haul European routes, the airline is aggressively expanding into Chinese routes.

On the 15th, T'way Air announced the launch of a new Incheon-Beijing (Daxing) route.

Initially, flights will operate three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) from the 25th to the 30th of this month. Departing Incheon International Airport at 11:15 PM, the flight will arrive at Beijing Daxing International Airport at 12:15 AM local time, taking approximately two hours. Operations will resume on September 2nd and continue three times a week until October 26th, departing Incheon Airport at 10:00 PM and arriving at 11:00 PM local time.

As the first domestic LCC to launch the Incheon-Beijing Daxing route, T'way Air plans to actively expand its routes to mainland China. Previously, only Chinese airlines operated the Incheon-Daxing route. Beijing Daxing International Airport, located in Daxing District, Beijing, opened in 2019 and surpassed 137,000 passengers last year.

A T'way Air representative stated, "As demand for China routes continues to grow, we will not only resume existing routes but also diversify our network with new routes. We will prioritize reasonable service and safety while steadily enhancing customer satisfaction."
