Our Child's One and Only Special 100 Days... Dongjak-gu Offers Free Rental of Baekilsang Supplies

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 15th that it will start the "Free Baekilsang Rental Project" from April to allow families to celebrate their child's 100th day, a once-in-a-lifetime event, in a special way.

This project was promoted as part of low birthrate countermeasures to reduce parenting costs for parents and foster a happy childcare culture through free rental services for Baekilsang.

Any household raising an infant under 4 months of age as of the rental date, registered as a resident in Dongjak-gu, can use the Baekilsang items and costumes free of charge from rental to delivery and return.

Baekilsang items can be chosen according to preference between traditional and modern styles, and various props, tablecloths, banners, and costumes are lent. If desired, event tables and baby walkers are also provided.

Rental applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Republic of Korea Dongjak Corporation website for residents who wish to apply.

The application period is from the 1st to the 20th of the month prior to the desired rental month, and for the first month of implementation, April, applications are accepted from March 18 to 29.

The rental period is 5 days, and to make the service more convenient for parents, items are delivered every Thursday to the applicant's address within the district and collected on the return day, Tuesday.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Dongjak-gu Office Early Childhood Care Division or the Republic of Korea Dongjak Corporation.

The district is making multifaceted efforts to create a child-friendly Dongjak-gu by supporting ▲mother and newborn health care expenses (postpartum care fees) co-payments ▲Dongjak childbirth congratulatory money ▲childbirth congratulatory goods ▲health insurance for newborns of the third child or more to promote a positive atmosphere for pregnancy and childbirth.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "We hope many will participate in the free Baekilsang rental project prepared for the precious once-in-a-lifetime celebration of our children," and added, "We will continue to promote various policies so that children grow up healthy and parents' childcare burdens are reduced."
