Gwangju University Signs Glocal University MOU with Ministry of Justice Gwangju Solomon Law Park

On the morning of the 14th, Gwangju University signed a business agreement with the Ministry of Justice's Gwangju Solomon Law Park at the Education Innovation Support Office on the 6th floor of the campus administration building to jointly promote the Glocal University 30 project.

On this occasion, the two institutions promised to cooperate in supporting and participating in the Glocal University 30 innovation project, as well as ▲volunteering cooperation for the Gwangju Solomon Law Park legal experience program ▲collaboration on practical field training for university students and legal education training programs ▲and other mutual development and regional job creation efforts.

President Kim Dong-jin stated, "Ignorance of the law cannot be an excuse, so we have been conducting regular legal education for enrolled students, especially international students unfamiliar with life in Korea," adding, "Through participation in the systematic legal education programs operated by the Ministry of Justice, we will expand legal knowledge and spare no human and material support such as volunteer activities combined with field training for students in related departments."

Center Director Lim Chun-deok said, "Gwangju Solomon Law Park is the third legal education specialized institution to open nationwide following Daejeon and Busan. Although it has been open for less than a year, about 60,000 people including infants, elementary, middle, and high school students, and citizens have experienced the legal experience program," adding, "We look forward to various collaborations utilizing Gwangju University's educational infrastructure to newly develop customized content by age and generation, so that it can become a cradle of legal education fostering universal values such as freedom, human rights, and democracy."
