Shinan-gun Hosts 'K-Gimbap World Cup'... Selected for Sale at Emart24

Nationwide Player Recruitment... 20 Teams Awarded Including Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award and Special Prize

Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 14th that it will hold the ‘Shinan World Gimbap Festa’ at 1004 Museum Park in Jaeun-myeon on the 27th of next month, with the main event being the Gimbap competition ‘Shinan K-Gimbap World Cup.’

Last year, the county held the first-ever Gimbap festival among local governments, receiving great response nationwide. This year, in collaboration with Emart24 Co., Ltd., the Gimbap Festa is expected to be an even richer festival.

Through the main event of this festival, the Gimbap competition, Shinan-gun aims to promote its excellent agricultural and marine products, while Emart24 plans to develop Shinan Gimbap for sale in its nationwide stores.

The competition, held under the theme “Deliciously Crazy Gimbap with Shinan Ingredients,” will be conducted in preliminary and final rounds. The preliminary round will recruit a total of 100 teams by the 8th of next month, selecting 20 teams for the finals through document screening. The finals will be held on the opening day of the festival, the 27th of next month.

Awards will be given to all teams in the finals, including the Grand Prize awarded by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Rural Development Administration Commissioner’s Award, the Shinan-gun Governor’s Award, and a special award from Emart24.

An official from the county said, “With the birth of Shinan Gimbap made from the county’s excellent agricultural and marine products, we hope many people interested in Gimbap will participate in the competition so that the entire nation can enjoy healthy food.”
