Innotherapy, an affiliate of the global healthcare SCL Group, is changing its name to SCL Science and will actively promote its new growth engine, the digital healthcare business.
Innotherapy announced on the 14th that it will propose an agenda for amending its articles of incorporation to change its name and add business objectives at the regular shareholders' meeting to be held on the 29th of this month.
The company name will be changed to "SCL Science" to unify the brand with the group and to encompass the new business. In line with the newly promoted digital healthcare business, the business objectives will be expanded to include ▲ development and service of AI-based medical solutions ▲ medical information business and development and service of medical software ▲ development and service of medical support, health management, and research management platforms.
Through this amendment of the articles of incorporation, the company will complete the revision of regulations to share the elevated SCL Group brand as a comprehensive healthcare group and to promote the digital healthcare business. Based on the medical service network and medical data owned by SCL Group, various digital healthcare businesses such as medical support platforms and medical MyData will be actively pursued.
A company official stated, “At the regular shareholders' meeting, we plan to discuss the amendment of the articles of incorporation to demonstrate our commitment to new business promotion and brand sharing with group companies. Following the vision presentation held last month, once the name change and addition of business objectives are completed at the regular shareholders' meeting, we will actively promote the digital healthcare business and strive to become a global leading company.”
Meanwhile, SCL Group is a total healthcare group that owns healthcare affiliates including SCL, Korea's first specialized testing institution established in 1983, Hanaro Medical Foundation, a specialized health screening institution, SCL Healthcare, SCL Holdings, Bio Food Lab, and Ahels. At the end of 2022, it acquired management rights of Innotherapy and incorporated it as a group affiliate.
