KOSDAQ Declines on Foreign and Institutional Selling
On the 14th, the KOSPI shows a steady trend with both foreign and institutional investors buying after a rising start. Meanwhile, the KOSDAQ starts lower and shows a weak trend.
As of 10:08 AM, the KOSPI is trading at 2705.44, up 0.44% (11.87 points) from the previous day. The KOSPI opened at 2698.37, up 0.18% (4.80 points) from the previous close.
Foreigners and institutions are net buying 34.2 billion KRW and 271.1 billion KRW respectively. Individual investors are solely net selling 301.1 billion KRW. In the futures market, only foreigners are buying, with net purchases of 311.1 billion KRW. Individuals and institutions are selling 99.6 billion KRW and 243.3 billion KRW respectively.
Among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization, the trend is mixed. The automobile sector is strong, with Hyundai Motor +2.01% and Kia +1.27% rising. Semiconductor and battery sectors are weak. Samsung Electronics -0.40%, SK Hynix -0.86%, LG Energy Solution -1.31%, POSCO Holdings -0.89%, and LG Chem -0.78% are all declining.
As of 10:13 AM, the KOSDAQ is trading at 884.85, down 0.57% (5.06 points) from the previous day. The KOSDAQ opened at 889.53, down 0.04% (0.40 points) from the previous close. Foreigners and institutions are net selling 108.9 billion KRW and 19.6 billion KRW respectively. Only individuals are net buying 138.9 billion KRW.
Among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization, the trend is mixed. EcoPro BM -1.51%, EcoPro -1.80%, Alteogen -1.94%, HPSP -2.41%, and Rino Industrial -1.49% are declining. On the other hand, HLB +7.11%, Enchem +1.47%, and Celltrion Pharm +0.74% are rising.
