Local Talent Employment Policy, Youth City
Considerations and Proposals for Stable Settlement
Lee Ok-seon, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held a 'Youth Policy Pledge Advisory Meeting' on the 13th with students from Gyeongnam National University to prepare detailed pledges for the 22nd National Assembly election.
At the meeting, the youth showed deep interest in the mandatory employment system requiring 50% of local youth talents in regional industries and raised questions about its feasibility.
In response, candidate Lee pointed out that not only the mandatory employment of youth talents but also the selection of local companies in regional public projects are hindered by conflicts with higher laws, making implementation impossible, and promised to resolve these issues in the National Assembly to realize the policy.
The youth also proposed practical concerns and opinions regarding transportation, youth cultural content, local culture, urban settlement, fragmented youth policies, and future career planning.
Candidate Lee promised, “I will reflect the diverse concerns shared by the youth today in policies and ensure they are realized as actual policies.”
