‘2023 Korea Tourism Star’ Award Commemoration Spacewalk Four-Cut Photo Event
Pohang City-Yanolja Business Agreement, Accommodation Discount Event ... Attracting Spring Tourists
Pohang City is gearing up to welcome spring tourists in earnest by preparing various events in line with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization’s ‘March Travel Month’ campaign season.
The city will hold a Spacewalk four-cut photo event from noon to 5 p.m. on the 16th and 17th to celebrate winning the main prize at the ‘2023 Korea Tourism Star’ awards.
The four-cut photo event allows tourists visiting Spacewalk to take instant photos for free with Spacewalk as the background, and it is expected to be very popular among tourists visiting Spacewalk over the weekend.
In addition, from the 18th, a lodging discount event in collaboration with ‘Yanolja’ will be held.
This event was planned to promote Pohang’s cherry blossom spots and encourage spring season tourism in Pohang following the signing of a business agreement (MOU) between Pohang City and the global travel platform Yanolja in January.
Under the concept of ‘Cherry Blossom Travel to Pohang!’, this lodging discount event offers tourists who use accommodations in the Pohang area discount coupons of ▲10,000 KRW for reservations of lodging products over 30,000 KRW ▲20,000 KRW for reservations over 70,000 KRW. Coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis from the 18th to the 31st and can be used until April 30.
Park Sang-jin, head of the Convention Tourism Industry Division, said, “There are many cherry blossom spots perfect for taking photos, such as Spacewalk and Cheolgilsup, all over Pohang. We hope many people from across the country will visit Pohang, a city great for spring travel,” adding, “We will continue to hold interesting and diverse events so that many tourists can create joyful memories in Pohang.”
