Two employees of a doctor community where a post saying "Delete hospital data" was made before a resident doctor resigned are under police investigation as suspects.
On the 13th, the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they have booked and are investigating A, the administrator of the doctor community 'MediStaff,' and B, an employee, on charges of evidence concealment. The police summoned B for questioning the day before.
They are suspected of attempting to hide related data after a police investigation began regarding a post about resident doctors' conduct guidelines posted on MediStaff last month.
On the 19th of last month, a post titled "A Must-Read for Resident Doctors Leaving the Hospital" was uploaded on MediStaff. The post included content such as "Delete files from the handover desktop and the department's shared folder, and mess up all the set orders before leaving."
Subsequently, on the 22nd of last month, the police conducted a search and seizure at the MediStaff headquarters. They also identified the author of the post as a doctor based in Seoul and booked them on charges of obstruction of business.
