Matching Donation Support to Social Welfare Council
Sharing Campaign for Neighbors in Need at Nearby Facilities
S-OIL (CEO Anwar Al Hizazi) donated 330 million KRW to welfare facilities neighboring its gas stations.
On the 13th, S-OIL announced that it delivered the donation collected through the ‘Gas Station Sharing N Campaign’ to the Korea National Council on Social Welfare (President Kim Sung-i) at a gas station in Yeomni-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Gas Station Sharing N Campaign is a community-based social contribution program that utilizes S-OIL gas stations, which are well aware of local circumstances, to share warmth with neighbors in need at welfare facilities near the gas stations.
It is a program that delivers donations to local welfare facilities such as regional children’s centers and facilities for the disabled and elderly, together with 300 S-OIL gas stations nationwide.
An S-OIL official said, “Especially in difficult times, we will actively practice sharing, which is S-OIL’s core value, by looking after those in need and become a company that supports the local community.”
Since 2011, S-OIL has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare for the ‘Gas Station Sharing N Campaign’ program and has been carrying out a gas station-linked community social contribution program. Over the past 13 years, it has matched a total of 3,730 gas stations with welfare facilities and donated 4.8 billion KRW.
