Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Conducts On-site Inspection of Poet's Street Preparing to Welcome Residents in Early Spring

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, inspected the newly planted trees and convenience facilities on the Poet's Street, a themed tourist forest path in Nanji, on the afternoon of the 11th to warmly welcome residents this coming spring.

Poet's Street is a 1.6 km-long Metasequoia road located in Nanji Sky Park, featuring 370,000 herbaceous plants such as Lycoris radiata, Lycoris squamigera, and Liriope muscari, along with lyrical poetry exhibited, making it a unique landmark space in Mapo District.

To make Poet's Street more beautiful and diverse, Mapo District planted 1,800 hydrangea trees near Sogonsogon-gil over two days starting from the 7th.

Additionally, in February, a shoe rack was installed to enable barefoot walking for residents' health and healing, and on the 15th, a foot-washing station will be set up to enhance residents' convenience.

After inspecting the site, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, “As the weather warms up, many residents will visit Poet's Street for health and relaxation,” and emphasized, “We will continue to manage the area to create a pleasant and safe Poet's Street where residents can take a break from their tiring daily lives and breathe in nature.”
