On the 12th, Honam University’s Non-Curricular Integrated Support Center announced that it held a presentation of results for the '2023 Winter Semester Global Citizenship Education Program,' which was conducted in January as part of the University Innovation Support Project, at the Welfare Center WISE Lecture Room on the 6th.
The Winter Global Citizenship Education Program aimed to enhance qualities as global citizens and improve global communication skills. It took place from January 18 to 25, lasting 6 nights and 8 days in Singapore, with five teams participating.
This program focused on projects led by each team based on various topics related to their majors or social issues, including visits to local medical institutions such as the 'Singapore Medical Museum' and 'Singapore Life Line' to explore the healthcare system, as well as visits to the 'Police Heritage Centre' and the 'Singapore Korean Church Kindergarten.'
Han Min-kyung, a student from the Singapore Dream Team participating in the program (Department of Early Childhood Education, Honam University), expressed, "By carrying out the planned schedule with my team members and facing challenges directly on site, I gained confidence that my language skills and major knowledge have become richer. Based on this experience, I want to actively participate in other overseas exploration programs."
