CJ Group Opens First Half New Employee Recruitment... Seeking 'Hadogabi' Nationwide

Plan to Create Nearly 30,000 Jobs Over 5 Years

CJ Group is conducting an open recruitment for new employees in the first half of 2024.


On the 12th, CJ announced that major affiliates such as CJ CheilJedang, CJ Logistics, CJ ENM, and CJ Olive Young will begin the open recruitment process for new employees in the first half of 2024.


CJ Group Chairman Lee Jae-hyun has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the talent-first (人材第一) management philosophy, stating that "the core to enabling future innovative growth is talent."

To this end, CJ has introduced proactive HR systems such as breaking down honorifics, promotion systems that break traditional personnel practices, and unconventional recruitment procedures. They conduct open recruitment for new employees twice a year to discover talent. In 2022, CJ announced plans to create between 25,000 and 30,000 jobs over five years to lead future lifestyles in content and food sectors, accelerating talent management.


Applications for CJ Group's 2024 first half new employee open recruitment can be submitted online starting from the 12th, with the deadline at the end of March. Successful candidates from the document screening will undergo customized selection processes for each affiliate, including ▲tests ▲first interviews ▲second interviews ▲job performance evaluations (internships). Final successful candidates who pass all recruitment stages will be selected around July and will receive onboarding training as new employees of CJ Group.


Applicants can only apply to one of the recruiting affiliates, and duplicate applications are not allowed. Since various customized recruitment procedures are conducted depending on each affiliate's business area and job, applicants should carefully check the recruitment announcements and detailed information. Most recently, CJ CheilJedang CEO Kang Shin-ho was promoted to vice chairman as the first vice chairman from the open recruitment track, rewriting the 'open recruitment myth.' Reflecting CJ Group's philosophy that anyone can become a leader regardless of age or tenure if they have performance, young 'Hagojabi' talents born in the 1980s and 1990s have been boldly appointed as management leaders (executives).
