Showbox stated, "Following the world premiere screening at the Berlin International Film Festival and market screenings for buyers, interest surged, leading to a flood of festival invitations and inquiries for distribution rights." The results are encouraging. In particular, in Indonesia, it has established itself as the highest-grossing Korean film ever. Showbox added, "We have high expectations as it is set to open across Asia and North America."

'Pamyoh' is an occult film that deals with strange events occurring to a geomancer, a mortician, and shamans who relocate a tomb for a large sum of money. Director Jang Jae-hyun, who directed the films 'The Priests' (2015) and 'Svaha: The Sixth Finger' (2019), helms the project, with Choi Min-sik, Kim Go-eun, Yoo Hae-jin, and Lee Do-hyun starring.

Overseas distributors highlight different aspects. North American distributor Well Go USA praised, "It delivers an unexpected twist that will captivate even the passionate occult film fans in North America." German distributor Splendid called it "a supernatural occult film created by an excellent cast led by Choi Min-sik of 'Oldboy' fame." Vietnamese distributor Mockingbird expressed, "We are delighted to bring the finest Korean film of the year to Vietnam."

'Pamyoh' has also been invited to the competition section of the 26th Udine Far East Film Festival, opening on the 24th of next month. It is the largest European festival introducing uniquely colored Asian films to the world. Sabrina Baracetti, the festival director, praised, "'Pamyoh' is a captivating invitation that leads us through Korean history, culture, and faith," adding, "The wondrous occult world crafted by director Jang Jae-hyun and cinematographer Lee Mo-gae, combined with the splendid performances of the cast, leaves everyone in awe."
