A woman in her 20s from Russia, who works night delivery shifts to protect her husband battling cancer, is gaining attention. According to the YouTube channel 'Polinarang' on the 12th, Polina (25), who married into Korea from Russia, said, “Recently, my husband was diagnosed with cancer, so I take care of him while working night delivery shifts alone.” She met a Korean man, Moon Sang-won, while traveling in Russia, married him, and has been living in Korea for three years.

Polina reportedly takes care of her husband during the day and works delivery shifts for Coupang from 10:30 PM to 7 AM. Through videos she has posted, she showed herself delivering packages for Coupang’s early morning delivery service even amid heavy snowfall. Polina smiled and said, “I was clumsy and slow at finding delivery addresses in Korean, but now I’m getting faster and doing well.” She also revealed how she cares for her husband battling cancer, saying, “He has to eat fruits and healthy food every day for the next five years. So I make tomato juice for him every day.”

The video sharing the couple’s story has recorded 280,000 views and is spreading through online communities. Polina told Yonhap News on the 8th, “I cried when I first heard that my husband had cancer, but I didn’t want to show my feelings to him. I wanted him to have courage.” Thanks to this, her husband successfully underwent surgery and is recovering. Moon said, “I’m really grateful to Polina. She has done all the hard work since coming to Korea.” He added, “One day, I was watching my wife apply ointment to my wound and then go back to the kitchen. I wanted to capture this woman’s life exactly like a diary.”

Polina said, “Usually, people think men should take the lead and women should always step back. But I told my husband, ‘In this situation, just stay as you are.
