Samsung Electronics is launching two affordable smartphones in the Galaxy A series to the global market.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 11th through its global newsroom that it will release the affordable smartphones Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G worldwide.
The application processors (AP) acting as the brain are Samsung Electronics' System LSI Division's Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1480, respectively. The 164.2mm (6.6-inch) Super AMOLED display supports a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and features 'Vision Booster,' which automatically adjusts color, contrast, and brightness according to the usage environment.
The proprietary chipset security platform, 'Samsung Knox Vault,' securely stores personal information such as passwords, biometric data, and authentication keys in a separate physical space. Additionally, the Auto Blocker function can disable 'sideloading,' which is the installation of applications (apps) through unofficial app stores.
The main cameras of both models boast flagship-level performance with a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera supporting Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS). In particular, the Galaxy A55 5G offers enhanced night shooting capabilities with zoom, delivering clearer and more stable images in low-light conditions thanks to advanced Image Signal Processing (ISP) technology.
Operating system (OS) updates will be provided for five years, and the devices are designed to connect seamlessly with other Galaxy products such as Galaxy Fit3, Galaxy Watch6, and Galaxy Buds Fan Edition (FE).
The domestic release schedule is undecided, and detailed specifications may vary by region.
