Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Expands 'Internet Live Streaming' to Standing Committee Meetings

By expanding the 'live internet streaming,' which was previously conducted only for plenary sessions, to include standing committee meetings, citizens will be able to vividly observe the council members' legislative activities regardless of their location.

This expansion of 'live internet streaming' was promoted to respond to citizens' right to know through transparent disclosure of legislative activities and to strengthen communication. It is also expected to help restore trust in local councils and enhance their status.

Chairman Kim Tae-wan stated, "We will continuously strive to establish a council trusted by citizens and to realize an open council that communicates," adding, "I hope this will be an opportunity to increase citizens' interest and participation in the Gwangsan District Council."
