Complex Cultural Center 36.2 Billion KRW, Health Center 27 Billion KRW Large-Scale Projects Completed... Scheduled to Open in April

Key Axis for Balanced Urban-Rural Development... Expected to Resolve Cultural and Health Disparities and Improve Residents' Quality of Life

Kim San, the governor of Muan County, visited the construction sites of the Muan County Complex Cultural Center and the new Health Center building, which are key projects of the county, on the 8th to conduct final inspections.


According to the county on the 11th, the Complex Cultural Center and Health Center are being built on the site prepared by relocating the traditional market located in Seongnam-ri, Muan-eup (formerly the 5-day market).


The Complex Cultural Center is a large-scale public building under construction with a total project cost of 36.23 billion KRW, including 14.85 billion KRW in national and provincial subsidies. It has a building area of 2,563㎡ and a total floor area of 16,036㎡ (2 basement floors, 6 above-ground floors).

The Complex Cultural Center will house two state-of-the-art movie theaters with 183 seats each, a children's library, Kkumteul-i Center, Silver Cafe, cultural center, shared childcare space, youth shops, sports activity rooms, study cafes, cooking classrooms, club activity rooms, and offices.


The new Health Center building is being constructed with a total project cost of 27 billion KRW, covering a building area of 1,744㎡ and a total floor area of 11,154㎡ (2 basement floors, 4 above-ground floors).


The floor layout of the Health Center is as follows: 1st floor - general, oriental, and dental clinics, physical therapy room, vaccination room; 2nd floor - physical activity program room, smoking cessation counseling room, integrated health promotion room; 3rd floor - dementia relief center and mental health welfare center; 4th floor - health administration and health promotion offices.


The parking lot will be connected to both the Complex Cultural Center and the Health Center, providing a total of 269 parking spaces across the ground level and basement levels 1 and 2 to accommodate the increasing parking demand as much as possible.


Governor Kim San said, “In the 8th term of the civilian administration, we have focused our administrative efforts on balanced development between urban and rural areas, prioritizing the construction of the Complex Cultural Center and Health Center. We will do our best to ensure that these facilities serve as the cultural and health hubs of Muan County.”


Meanwhile, the Muan County Complex Cultural Center is scheduled to be completed by the end of March and will begin sequential occupancy from April, while the Health Center will relocate by the end of March and open on April 1.
