Hugel Strengthens Environmental Management and Safety Health Controls... Obtains International Standard Certification

Hugel, a medical aesthetic specialist company, announced on the 11th that it has simultaneously obtained two international standard certifications for environmental management systems and occupational health and safety management, which were established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) certifies companies that systematically manage systems to minimize environmental impact and comply with environmental laws and regulations. The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) is awarded to companies that identify workplace hazards, establish industrial accident prevention systems, and strive to establish a safety culture.

Through this certification, Hugel plans to proactively respond to potential environmental and occupational health and safety issues arising from future business activities and work sites, pursuing sustainable growth.

Hugel obtained approval for its botulinum toxin product 'Retivo' from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the 29th of last month (local time). It has also obtained product approvals in 63 countries including the United States, China, and Europe. The company explained that as it expands its influence in the global market, it plans to continue creating a management environment that meets global standards.

A Hugel representative said, “This ISO certification externally recognizes our efforts to establish and implement systems that comply with international standards,” adding, “We will develop a corporate culture that prioritizes safety, health, and the environment, and continue sustainable growth through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.”
