Yongin City to Host 'Dure Food Festa' and 'Yongin Spring Night Stroll' Next Month

Establishment of Tourism Policies by Sector for the First Half of the Year
Participation in 'Seoul International Travel Fair' and 'Travel Show 2024'

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it has established tourism policies for the first half of the year, focusing on various sectors and utilizing local tourism resources and characteristics.


First, on the 20th of next month, the city will hold the 'Dure Food Festa' at the plaza under Giheung Station and the lawn in Gugal-dong, Giheung-gu. This event will feature a 'Tourism Dure' experience promoting local businesses and culture and arts, along with booths introducing local specialties. The event will be conducted through collaboration between local small business owners and breweries, and participants can also take part in the sale and experience of handmade crafts.

From the 26th to 27th of next month, the 'Yongin Spring Night Stroll' will take place. This program allows visitors to enjoy the night views of Yongin’s local attractions and experience art and culture.


The city plans to participate in the 'Seoul International Tourism Expo' held from May 9 to 12 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the 'Travel Show 2024' held from May 30 to June 2 at KINTEX in Goyang, promoting programs that utilize Yongin’s tourism resources and local characteristics.


Improvement construction for facilities that assist tourists will also be carried out. Maintenance work on tourist information signboards will be conducted at eight facilities with high external tourist inflow, including Hanwha Resort in Namsa-eup, Cheoin-gu, and maps reflecting the latest information will be produced.


To enhance convenience for tourists visiting the local attraction, Cafe Street in Bojeong-dong, Giheung-gu, video information will be produced, and a kiosk installation project will be carried out at stores operating on Cafe Street.


A city official stated, "We will introduce tourism policies on Yongin City’s tourism-related blogs, Facebook, Instagram, and other social networking services to encourage many people to visit and enjoy Yongin."
