President Yoon Suk-yeol expressed his condolences on the passing of Son Myeong-sun, the wife of the late former President Kim Young-sam, on the 7th, saying, "Madam Son lived a humble and warm life, faithfully maintaining her sincere beliefs throughout her life."

President Yoon stated, "All our people will remember Madam Son's life with gratitude and beauty," and added, "I believe she will continue to pray for the country and its people from heaven, and I wish for her peaceful rest."

He also instructed to form a practical support team led by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to ensure thorough support for the funeral, according to a written briefing by spokesperson Kim Soo-kyung.
