Sales of Hetbahn and Bibigo Begin at 'K-Venue'
Rocket Delivery Suspended on Coupang Since November 2022
CJ CheilJedang products have been listed in K-Venue, the Korean product sales category on Alibaba Group's e-commerce platform 'AliExpress' in China.
Starting from the afternoon of the 7th, CJ CheilJedang began selling popular products on K-Venue, including Hetbahn, Bibigo dumpling sets, Bibigo beef bone soup, and Gourmet Chinese cuisine.
CJ CheilJedang has partnered with AliExpress, which is emerging as a competitor to Coupang. Previously, CJ CheilJedang's rocket delivery service was suspended on Coupang, the largest domestic online platform, since November 2022.
A CJ CheilJedang representative stated, "It is natural for manufacturers to secure new distribution channels," adding, "Expanding sales channels is expected to contribute not only to business growth but also to broadening consumer choices."
K-Venue is a Korean product sales channel launched by AliExpress in October last year. Products here are shipped free of charge from Korea, with a typical delivery time of within three days. LG Household & Health Care, Amorepacific, and Korea P&G are also listed on AliExpress, selling household goods and beverages. Recently, AliExpress has started handling fresh foods such as fruits, vegetables, and seafood in addition to household goods and processed foods.
