Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 6th that it has opened a dedicated online store for the global eyewear brand 'Gentle Monster' on its online mall. This is the second time Gentle Monster has entered a domestic internet duty-free shop, following Lotte Duty Free.
This dedicated store is an online space where customers can view over 100 popular Gentle Monster products at a glance. Shinsegae Duty Free organized the store focusing on Gentle Monster's '2024 Collection', '2024 Optical' new products, and existing bestsellers.

Shinsegae Duty Free planned this dedicated store targeting the 2030 generation, who are the main customers of Gentle Monster and account for about 60% of online mall sales. Following the Myeongdong store, the company will operate the online dedicated store starting this month to enhance customer convenience and accessibility.
Gentle Monster is an eyewear brand that started in Korea in 2011 and has gained great popularity worldwide. Known for its sophisticated and unique eyeglass designs, it has expanded to more than 30 countries. This global popularity of Gentle Monster is also reflected in sales trends. Last month, the individual tourist sales at the Gentle Monster store in Shinsegae Duty Free Myeongdong recorded a growth rate of over 30% compared to the same period last year.
Shinsegae Duty Free allows orders for all products in the Gentle Monster dedicated store to be placed up to 3 hours before departure at Incheon Airport for delivery. The available order times by time slot can be checked on the Shinsegae Duty Free online mall.
A Shinsegae Duty Free official said, "We hope customers enjoy easy online duty-free shopping at the Gentle Monster dedicated store," adding, "We will continue to do our best to develop the online mall through various customer-centered plans."
