On this day, occasional snow or rain will fall in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, and the northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk, tapering off overnight. In Jeju Island, snow and rain will occur in some areas until the early morning of the 7th. Rain is forecast from the afternoon to nighttime in Chungbuk, eastern Jeolla, Daegu, the inland western part of Gyeongbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and the western part of Gyeongnam. The Chungnam area will also see light precipitation of about 0.1 mm, either snow or raindrops.


Due to the snow and rain on this day, many places, especially in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon and the northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk, will experience icy roads and black ice. Drivers should exercise caution by driving at low speeds and maintaining safe distances, and pedestrians should also be careful.


The expected snowfall over the two days from the 6th to the 7th is 1 to 3 cm in Chungbuk and eastern Jeonbuk. Some areas in Chungbuk may receive less than 5 mm of rain.


In Gangwon Province, especially in the mountainous areas, up to 15 cm of snow is expected between the 5th and 7th. During the same period, the expected precipitation in the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon is forecast to be 5 to 30 mm. The northern eastern coast of Gangwon is expected to receive 1 to 3 cm of snow over the two days of the 5th and 6th.


The expected snowfall in the northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk over the three days from the 5th to the 7th is 1 to 5 cm. In Jeju Island, especially in the mountainous areas, snow accumulation of 1 to 5 cm is expected until the 7th. The expected precipitation in Daegu, inland Gyeongbuk, Busan, and Ulsan until the 6th is 5 mm.


The morning low temperatures are forecast to be between -1 and 7 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 4 and 13 degrees Celsius.


Fine dust levels are expected to be at a 'Good' level across all regions.


Sea waves will be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.5 to 5.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea.
