On the 5th, a post titled "Customer Who Fills Up Water" was uploaded to an online community and became a hot topic. The author, Mr. A, who runs a restaurant business, said, "I never said anything about customers filling their personal water bottles after meals, and I even told delivery workers they could fill up more," adding, "But recently, I have been troubled by a customer who started coming frequently."
Mr. A said, "At first, the regular customer filled about 500㎖ water bottles, so I told them it was fine, and when they said they wanted to take another bottle, I said they could do as they wished," and continued, "But the next day, they took three bottles." He claimed that the regular customer repeatedly took three bottles of water every time they visited the restaurant, and in addition, brought a phone charger, charged their phone after paying for the meal, and even charged it while smoking outside before leaving.
Because the customer was a frequent visitor, Mr. A said he could not say anything unpleasant, but when the regular customer brought a 1.5ℓ water bottle in their bag and tried to fill it up fully from the water purifier, he finally exploded. Mr. A said, "I've never seen anyone like this. I might understand if it was just once in a while, but they took several bottles every time they visited," and expressed frustration, "I don't understand it, but I am wondering if I should just leave it alone."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "They say when kindness continues, people think it's a right," "At this level, it seems like they think the restaurant is a public spring," "Once is one thing, but bringing water bottles is a bit much," and "There are all kinds of strange people."
On the other hand, some netizens responded, "Water from the purifier probably doesn't cost anything, so I would have just let it go," "I think it's okay because they are a regular," and "It's not soda but bottled water, so isn't it okay to take some?"
