Icheon Public Health Center Provides Non-Face-to-Face Health Management Services for Seniors

This project, targeting seniors aged 65 and older, lends Bluetooth-based health measuring devices to the elderly and offers non-face-to-face health management services for six months using an app.

Selected participants are lent activity trackers worn on the wrist, scales, and other devices during the project period. Depending on the presence of certain conditions and with a prescription, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and other devices can also be rented.

Participants are assigned personalized health missions such as walking and weight measurement through an app called "OneulGeongang" (TodayHealth). After completing the missions and entering the data into the app, health professionals provide health consultations and monitor health information. Commemorative gifts are also given upon mission completion.

The city is conducting this service as a pilot project limited to the urban area and Bubal residents, considering travel distance and number of visits. Those with long-term care grades 1 to 5, mobile healthcare recipients at the public health center, and those eligible for self-measuring device support under the National Health Insurance Service's chronic disease management program are excluded.

For detailed consultation and application, please contact the Visiting Health Team at the Icheon City Public Health Center.
