Seongbuk-gu Supports Up to 150,000 KRW for Adoption Fees of Lost and Abandoned Animals

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will promote a project starting March 4th to support up to 150,000 KRW per adopted pet to activate the adoption of lost and abandoned animals and improve the protection conditions for abandoned animals.

The "Lost and Abandoned Animal Adoption Fee Support Project" is a program that provides financial support to residents of Seongbuk-gu who adopt lost and abandoned animals from the Seongbuk-gu Animal Protection Center (Korea Animal Rescue Management Association) for the purpose of companionship. To participate in the project, the adopted animal must have completed animal registration (microchip), and the adopter must complete the "Prospective Adopter Education" at the Animal Love Learning Center to be eligible to apply.

The adoption fee support project covers 60% of the expenses incurred for disease diagnosis, treatment, vaccination, neutering surgery, microchip registration, grooming, and pet insurance enrollment for the adopted lost and abandoned animals, supporting up to 150,000 KRW per animal.

Pet owners who wish to receive support for lost and abandoned animal adoption fees should prepare copies of the ▲adoption fee invoice ▲adoption confirmation ▲prospective adopter education certificate ▲bankbook copy ▲medical expense receipts and apply for adoption fee support at the Seongbuk-gu Animal Protection Center (Korea Animal Rescue Management Association) or the Seongbuk-gu Office Regional Economy Division.

This project only supports applications submitted within six months after adoption on a first-come, first-served basis, and may close early if the budget is exhausted.
