Up to 2 Million KRW Year-End Incentives for Boosting Resident Participation in Resource Recycling
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do is recruiting organizations to participate in the resident-participation resource circulation project ‘Ttangkkeut Hope’ to promote the collection of high-quality recyclables until the 15th.
According to the county on the 4th, ‘Ttangkkeut Hope’ is a resident-participation resource circulation program that rewards points based on the unit price for 17 types of recyclables, including transparent PET bottles, when brought in clean, which are then paid out as Haenam Love Gift Certificates.

Residents themselves reduce the amount of household waste generated, increase recycling rates, and build a carbon-neutral and resource circulation system, receiving great response.
The eligible participants are village associations, clubs, apartment management committees, women’s associations, and company groups active within Haenam-gun. At the end of the year, six organizations will be selected based on participation performance and given incentives of up to 2 million won.
Organizations wishing to participate can apply at the town and township offices or submit an application to the Environmental Division of the county office.
A county official said, “We hope many organizations interested in resource circulation will participate,” adding, “By voluntarily participating in the resource circulation project, let’s create Haenam, the top resource circulation hub, through proper recycling practices.”
