Ulju-gun Reflects 84% of Suggestions from 'Dialogue with Residents' in Policies

‘This Year’s New Year Dialogue with Residents’ Suggestions Processing Results Report Meeting

Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, will reflect 80 out of 95 resident suggestions (84.2%) collected during the ‘2024 New Year Dialogue with Residents’ into the county administration.

On this day, Ulju-gun held a report meeting on the handling results of the suggestions from the dialogue with residents, chaired by County Governor Lee Soon-geol, with the attendance of relevant department and bureau heads.


Previously, from January 15 to 22, Ulju-gun conducted the ‘2024 New Year Dialogue with Residents’ targeting 12 eup and myeon (townships).


This report meeting was organized to comprehensively review and manage the progress of the suggestions received during the dialogue with residents.


Looking at each suggestion, many were closely related to residents’ daily lives, including roads, transportation, and elderly welfare.


▲ In the road sector: road expansion and paving, sidewalk construction ▲ In the transportation sector: creation of public parking lots, adjustment of bus routes, improvement of traffic signal systems ▲ In elderly welfare: construction of senior centers, improvement of senior center operating expenses ▲ Additionally, suggestions included river maintenance, creation of walking trails, installation of security CCTV, totaling 95 suggestions.


The attendees confirmed the progress of each suggestion by department, discussed future plans and solutions, and conducted a final review.


Regarding the handling results of the suggestions: ▲ Completed 22 cases (23.2%) ▲ In progress 26 cases (27.4%) ▲ Long-term review 32 cases (33.7%), reflecting a total of 80 cases (84.2%) in the county administration, while 15 cases (15.8%) were decided as not feasible.


Governor Lee Soon-geol urged, “Please proceed with projects as quickly as possible for matters directly related to residents’ inconvenience and safety,” and added, “For long-term matters that are difficult to implement immediately, actively strive to ensure timely progress to minimize residents’ inconvenience.”


Starting with the New Year Dialogue with Residents, Ulju-gun plans to expand various communication channels to collect opinions from Ulju-gun residents this year as well, aiming to provide trusted administration.
