At the ceremony, exemplary taxpayers and tax cooperation contributors who contributed to the national finances through sincere tax payment and cooperation with tax administration were congratulated with awards such as medals and commendations, along with companies receiving the High Taxpayer's Tower award.

In addition, congratulatory letters signed by the Commissioner of the NTS and symbolic images of exemplary taxpayers for use on websites were sent to 1,060 exemplary taxpayers nationwide to express gratitude. These images can be posted on the recipients’ business websites.

Furthermore, local tax offices and tax bureaus across the country held commemorative events presenting certificates of commendation to exemplary taxpayers and tax cooperation contributors, along with visitor appreciation events. At the entrances of each tax office, corners introducing the achievements of exemplary taxpayers were set up, and posters and banners expressing gratitude for sincere tax payment were displayed to celebrate the awardees.

The NTS plans to conduct various online and offline communication events throughout March, the month of Taxpayer's Day, to foster public awareness of the importance of taxes and sincere tax payment. Cultural events that exemplary taxpayers and the public can enjoy together will be held, including the NTS YouTube "3.3 Dance Challenge," which expresses Taxpayer's Day (March 3) through a cheerful dance, and the opening of a special exhibition at the National Tax Museum themed on taxes. Additionally, a nationwide youth tax art contest will be held to encourage future taxpayers, young people, to reflect on the importance of taxes through creative literary and artistic activities.

Along with this, actors Kang Ha-neul (Kim Ha-neul) and Shin Hye-sun, selected as exemplary taxpayers this year, have been appointed as NTS ambassadors and will participate in various promotional activities to spread a culture of sincere tax payment.

An NTS official stated, "Going forward, the NTS will strive to create a mature tax culture where exemplary taxpayers who contribute to national finances are socially respected, and to implement warm tax administration that actively supports citizens who participate in sincere tax payment."

Meanwhile, those selected as exemplary taxpayers receive benefits such as "preferential treatment in tax administration," including tax audit deferrals, choice of regular audit timing, and exemption from tax payment guarantees, as well as "social privileges" such as discounts on railway fares, preferential trade insurance, priority at airport immigration, and free use of public parking lots.
