The Ministry of National Defense announced that as of noon on the 3rd, the 13th day since the opening of military hospital emergency rooms, 110 civilians received treatment at military hospitals, an increase of 12 from the previous day.
By hospital, 51 patients were treated at the Armed Forces Capital Hospital, 24 at Daejeon Hospital, 4 at Yangju Hospital, 4 at Pocheon Hospital, 4 at Chuncheon Hospital, 3 at Hongcheon Hospital, 4 at Gangneung Hospital, 8 at Seoul District Hospital, 2 at the Naval Maritime Medical Center, 5 at Goyang Hospital, and 1 at the Aerospace Medical Center.
The Ministry of National Defense opened the emergency rooms of 12 military hospitals to civilians starting from the 20th of last month in response to the collective actions of doctors, including residents, opposing the expansion of medical school quotas.
On the same day, Kim Seon-ho, Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited Seoul District Hospital to encourage the medical staff, including emergency medicine military doctors, and to check the status of medical support for civilian patients.
