Starting from the 29th of last month (local time), LG Electronics showcased artworks utilizing the OLED evo at the exhibition held at Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles, USA. LG Electronics plans to sequentially launch the 2024 LG OLED TVs, including the OLED evo, on the global stage beginning in South Korea on the 13th. Equipped with an AI processor up to four times more powerful than before, the LG OLED evo finely adjusts images at the pixel level to deliver a more natural picture.

Frieze is a world-renowned art fair representing contemporary art alongside ‘Art Basel.’ Since 2021, LG Electronics has participated as a global partner of Frieze, solidifying its brand leadership as an ‘OLED TV that inspires art and is preferred by artists,’ while continuously expanding touchpoints with customers interested in art.

At this exhibition, LG Electronics collaborated with Shepard Fairey, a world-famous graffiti artist and social activist, to create the 150m2 'LG OLED Lounge.' The artist used the 2024 LG OLED evo (series name: G4) to newly realize six mural artworks as media art for this exhibition.

LG Electronics worked with the artist to create an optimal space for appreciating the artworks. The exhibition space, which reflects the characteristics of graffiti art?typically expressed with vivid and intense colors on subway or building walls?evokes the streets of LA. Visitors enjoyed vibrant artworks that seemed to be painted on-site through OLED TVs displayed like murals throughout the space.

In particular, the artist’s signature work, ‘Damaged Wrong Path Mural,’ which filled one entire wall, featured two 77/65-inch OLED evo TVs seamlessly integrated into the mural, providing a unique experience as if viewing a single massive mural painting.

The artist said, “I selected works that can provoke challenging conversations among people through meaningful themes,” adding, “Through collaboration with LG OLED TV, we will show visitors how technology can lead artistic expression into new and rewarding realms.”

Oh Hye-won, Senior Vice President of HE Brand Communication at LG Electronics, stated, “Through the ‘OLED Art Project’ that inspires art, we will continue to spread the innovative value unique to LG OLED TVs, which serve as digital canvases displaying artworks and become a part of the art itself.”
