During this inspection, Gyeonggi Province will focus on checking the maintenance status of road drainage facilities and the safety management of underground roads together with practical, field-oriented citizen auditors specializing in roads, sewers, and safety.

For underground roads, the audit will concentrate on the maintenance status of drainage equipment such as drainage pumps, sumps, emergency power facilities, and electrical equipment, as well as the installation and operation status of entry blocking facilities. Additionally, drainage facilities will be inspected to ensure proper inspection and management of stormwater inlets and sewer pipes in flood-prone areas.

Choi Eun-soon, Auditor of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will proactively inspect urban infrastructure such as road drainage facilities and underground roads, which citizens use daily, to minimize damage caused by flooding during the monsoon season." She added, "The 2024 special audit will also be conducted preventively and proactively together with citizen auditors."
