At 8:53:39 AM on the 3rd, the Korea Meteorological Administration reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 occurred in the sea area 56km north-northwest of Heuksando, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The epicenter was at 35.09 degrees north latitude and 125.09 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 14km. The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that "there will be no earthquake damage."
