On the 2nd, the Democratic Party of Korea gave uncontested nominations in their current constituencies to Lee Jae-myung (first-term, Incheon Gyeyang-eul), the party leader, and Cho Jeong-sik (five-term, Gyeonggi Siheung-eul), the secretary-general.
The party's nomination management committee announced the results of the 10th screening, including this information, at the central party office in Yeouido on the same day.
This screening was conducted for eight constituencies. Four constituencies received uncontested nominations, and four constituencies held primaries.
With Lee receiving an uncontested nomination in his own constituency, Gyeyang-eul, the showdown dubbed the 'Myeong-ryong Battle' against Won Hee-ryong, former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport from the People Power Party, was confirmed.
Cho, a pro-Lee (pro-Lee Jae-myung) faction secretary-general, will challenge for his sixth term in Gyeonggi Siheung-eul.
Kim Seong-hwan, who previously represented Seoul Nowon-byeong, received an uncontested nomination in Seoul Nowon-eul. In the recent electoral district reorganization, Nowon District changed from Gap, Eul, Byeong to Gap and Eul.

Nowon-gap was confirmed as a two-person primary district. Incumbents Ko Yong-jin from Nowon-gap and Woo Won-shik from Nowon-eul will face off.
In Gyeonggi-do Bucheon, which was reduced from four to three seats, all constituencies were selected as primary districts. In Gyeonggi Bucheon-gap, Kim Kyung-hyup (Bucheon-gap), Seo Young-seok (Bucheon-jeong), and Yoo Jeong-ju, a proportional representative member, will compete in a three-way primary.
In Bucheon-eul, a showdown will take place between Kim Ki-pyo, former research officer at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and Seo Jin-ung, former Gyeonggi-do assembly member. In Bucheon-byeong, a two-person primary will be held between Kim Sang-hee and Lee Geon-tae, a special advisor to the Democratic Party leader.
