The Party Name of Joguk New Party Changed to 'Joguk Innovation Party'... Party Symbol Color 'True Blue'

The official name of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk's new party has been decided as ‘Jo Kuk Innovation Party’.

The Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Jo Kuk New Party (tentative name) announced on the 29th that the party name has been decided as ‘Jo Kuk Innovation Party’. The party's symbolic color will be ‘True Blue’ as the main color, along with ‘Cobalt Blue’ and ‘Deep Blue’. The committee explained, "True Blue symbolizes the sky of Gwangju, Cobalt Blue represents Baekdu Mountain's Heaven Lake, and Deep Blue symbolizes the East Sea of Dokdo."

A committee official stated, "The chosen party color ‘True Blue’ is a deep blue color emphasizing trust and stability," adding, "Through the Jo Kuk Innovation Party's top priority task of ‘early termination of prosecutorial dictatorship,’ we intend to restore the public's trust in the South Korean government and bring stability back to people's lives."

So far, the committee has received opinions regarding the party name. In this regard, a committee official explained, "Among the proposed party names, those including ‘Jo Kuk’ accounted for 77.8% of the total, names including ‘Democracy,’ ‘Future,’ ‘Reform,’ and ‘Innovation’ made up 38.2%, and those including ‘People,’ ‘Citizen,’ and ‘Uri’ (meaning ‘we’) accounted for 18%."
