Jeonhun Team Also Contributes to Revitalizing the Local Economy
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that it conducted a fam tour for athletes who visited Sancheong for winter training camps.
This fam tour was organized to promote Sancheong's excellent cultural heritage and tourist attractions, and to provide healing through traditional cultural experiences such as herbal heat therapy.
The fam tour, held from the 28th to the 29th at the Donguibogam Village area, was attended by over 100 training teams from across the country, including Gwangju in Gyeonggi-do, Mungyeong, Yeongam, and Changwon.
Participants experienced various programs at Donguibogam Village, relieving accumulated fatigue and strengthening their determination for the new season.
Player Cha Seung-jin (Gumi City Hall Ssireum Team) said, “Through exploring and experiencing Donguibogam Village, I realized that Sancheong’s natural environment is truly beautiful and its tourism content is valuable. I will definitely visit again with my family and friends during the off-season.”
The county plans to expand fam tours and provide various support to training teams while contributing to revitalizing the local economy by expanding new tourism promotion channels.
Meanwhile, the county, with its mild climate and abundant sports facilities, attracts many training teams every year in various sports such as soccer, ssireum, and tennis.
From January 2 to February 8 this year, 39 teams totaling 934 people visited Sancheong for soccer, tennis, and other sports, and since the 21st, 100 athletes from 7 ssireum teams have been focusing on training.
In particular, during the 2023?2024 season, 43 teams across 4 sports, totaling 9,665 people, have visited Sancheong, contributing to economic revitalization through local consumption.
