Regarding the underground parking lot collapse accident that occurred last April in an apartment in Geomdan New Town, Incheon, the court has suspended the enforcement of the business suspension order imposed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the construction company GS Engineering & Construction.
The Administrative Court of Seoul, Administrative Division 6 (Presiding Judge Na Jin-yi) on the 28th accepted GS Engineering & Construction's request for a suspension of execution, filed against the Seoul Metropolitan Government, asking to halt the enforcement of the business suspension order.
Accordingly, GS Engineering & Construction will be able to avoid the business suspension scheduled from the 1st to the 31st of next month.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government decided on an administrative sanction of a one-month business suspension for GS Engineering & Construction on the 31st of last month, holding them responsible for not diligently conducting quality tests related to the parking lot collapse accident.
