Hana Financial Group Confirmed to Participate in Singapore Women's Open
108 Players Including Park Ji-young, Lee Ye-won, and Lee Hyo-won to Compete
Patty Tavatanakit (Thailand) will participate in the 2024 season opener of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, the Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open.
Title sponsor Hana Financial Group announced on the 28th that 108 players, including Tavatanakit, defending champion Park Ji-young, and last year's KLPGA triple crown winner Lee Ye-won, will compete in the tournament held over four days from March 7 at the Tanamera Country Club Tampines Course in Singapore (par 72, 6,548 yards).
The event is co-hosted with the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) and is part of the Ladies Asian Tour (LAT) series. Now in its second year, the total prize money is 1.1 million Singapore dollars (approximately 1.09 billion KRW), with the winner's prize at 198,000 Singapore dollars (about 200 million KRW). Players representing the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and New Zealand, will participate.
Tavatanakit recently won back-to-back tournaments: the Ladies European Tour (LET) Aramco Saudi Ladies International, which concluded on the 18th, and the LPGA Tour Honda LPGA Thailand, which ended on the 25th. She is also a sponsored player of Hana Financial Group. Amateur national representatives Lee Hyo-song and Oh Soo-min, as well as Korean-American Esther Kwon, will also compete against professional players.
