Received Overwhelming Support from Majority of Members at the General Assembly
Jang Jong-ha, an admissions officer at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol), was elected as the 14th president of the Honam Regional University Admissions Officers Association at the election held on the 27th at Chonnam National University.

According to Mokpo National University on the 28th, Jang Jong-ha was elected as the 14th president by overwhelming support from the majority of members at the regular general meeting of the Honam Regional Admissions Officers Association held recently at Chonnam National University, defeating Kim Eun-cheol, an admissions officer at Chosun University.
Since 2020, Jang Jong-ha has been serving as an admissions officer at Mokpo National University, mainly responsible for overseeing designated joint research for universities in the Honam region and managing the education and evaluation system for comprehensive student record screening.
Jang Jong-ha stated, “I will strive to make the Honam Regional Admissions Officers Association a practical space that serves as a hub for universities in the Honam region to share diverse information and communicate.” He added, “We will newly organize the association as a true council that raises one voice with the goal of coexistence rather than competition among universities by establishing an educational system in the Honam region to strengthen admissions officers’ capabilities and building data necessary for admissions officers’ work.”
The term of the newly appointed president Jang will be one year, from the 1st of next month until February 28, 2025.
