On the 27th, the Ministry of Economy and Finance held the 'Republic of Korea Economic Supply Chain Stabilization Policy Forum' jointly with the Korea Development Institute (KDI) at the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service.
This event was organized to review the external economic conditions and supply chain risks facing our economy ahead of the enactment and implementation of the Supply Chain Stabilization Act, and to explore desirable directions for supply chain stabilization policies.
About 70 participants attended the event, including officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Public Procurement Service, academic experts, corporate representatives from POSCO Research Institute and MRO, as well as various associations and organizations.
Kim Byung-hwan, Head of the Economic Security Supply Chain Planning Group and First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, stated, "The government plans to support efforts by our companies to stabilize supply chains, such as reducing dependence on specific countries in response to the global supply chain restructuring, and to establish our industrial structure and related strategies through joint public-private collaboration."
