Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Young-do)'s Early Employment Contract Department announced on the 27th that Pelia CEO Park So-yoon and Kim Jung-hyun, a non-degree student in the Smart Food Cooking Department, received the grand prize and excellence award respectively at the '2023 Early Employment Contract Department Best Practice Essay Contest' held on the 15th.

At the awards ceremony, Pelia, a partner company linked with the Smart Beauty Care Department, received the grand prize (Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award), and Kim Jung-hyun, a non-degree student in the Smart Food Cooking Department, received the excellence award (Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology Director Award) in the student category.
The Early Employment Contract Department is a project where universities and small to medium-sized enterprises sign contracts (agreements) to cultivate talent equipped with practical field skills.
Park So-yoon, CEO of Pelia, who received the grand prize, said, "Over the past two years, Pelia has successfully achieved education and recruitment through the Early Employment Contract Department, and we will continue our passionate efforts to nurture customized talent."
Kim Jung-hyun, a student in the Smart Food Cooking Department, said, "Through the Early Employment Contract Department, I was glad to have the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in areas I was interested in."
The Early Employment Contract Department project guarantees employment upon admission, achieving a 100% employment rate for all students in the department, including graduates and first-year students. Strong local mid-sized companies such as Pelia, Hwamyu ITC, Ecomine, iProduct, International Food, and Kangho Food are actively participating.
