In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 26th (local time), he earned 1.8771 points, jumping 49 places from 101st last week to 52nd. He accumulated points by winning his first career victory at the PGA Tour Mexico Open (total prize money $8.1 million), which concluded the day before at the Vidanta Vallarta Golf Course in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He lifted the winner's trophy in only his 9th PGA Tour start and received prize money of $1,458,000 (approximately 1.94 billion KRW).
Most top-ranked players took a break, so there were no major changes in the upper ranks. Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Jon Rahm (Spain) maintained their positions at 1st to 3rd. South Korea's Kim Joo-hyung ranked 16th, Im Sung-jae 34th, An Byeong-hun 44th, and Kim Si-woo was placed 51st. Sami Valimaki (Finland), the runner-up at the Mexico Open, jumped from 110th to 79th. Carlos Ortiz (Mexico), champion of the Asian Tour International Series Oman event, rose from 1286th to 237th.
