Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office Strictly Responds to Illegal Collective Actions by Police and Medical Community

The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office discussed measures on the 26th to respond swiftly and strictly to illegal collective actions by the police and medical community.

On the same day, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office held a working-level meeting with the Songpa, Gangdong, Seongdong, and Gwangjin Police Stations in Seoul and the prosecution-police cooperation body, stating, "We have agreed to jointly respond in the future to illegal collective actions by the medical community that directly threaten the lives and health of the public."

Currently, the number of residents who have submitted resignation letters opposing the increase in medical school admissions has exceeded 10,000 across 100 major training hospitals. The government has issued a final ultimatum to return to the medical field by the 29th, and from next month, license suspension and penalties such as investigation and prosecution are considered inevitable.
