Lee Jun-seok "60-70 Candidates Expected for District Elections... Considering Running in Daegu"

Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party, stated on the 26th, "There are currently about 60 to 70 candidates who are confirmed to run in local constituencies."

After concluding the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Lee made this remark to reporters.

He explained, "I understand that more than 50 candidates have been registered with the Central Election Commission, and we are considering about 80 as candidates running in local constituencies," adding, "I think the number will increase until the candidate registration deadline."

The Reform New Party officially begins its nomination process on the same day, starting with the appointment of Kim Jong-in as the nomination committee chairman. The nomination committee consists of seven members, including Chairman Kim, and all nomination procedures will be conducted online.

Regarding Chairman Kim's suggestion that Lee run in Daegu, Lee said, "Chairman Kim's remarks seem to be about facing the regime judgment or the conservative heir theory head-on," adding, "We are reviewing everything within the framework."
