Geumcheon-gu Supports Housekeeping Services for Pregnant Women, Dual-Income, and Multichild Families

Geumcheon-gu Supports 'Seoul-style Household Services' for 300 Households... Household Helpers Provide Cleaning, Dishwashing, Trash Disposal, and More... Targeting Pregnant Women, Dual-Income, and Multi-Child Families Below 150% Median Income

Geumcheon-gu Supports Housekeeping Services for Pregnant Women, Dual-Income, and Multichild Families

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is accepting applications for the 'Seoul-type Household Service' to reduce the burden of housework for pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children until June 30.

The support targets are households residing in Geumcheon-gu with a median income of 150% or less, including pregnant women households, dual-income households, and families with multiple children.

Pregnant women households refer to those with a pregnant woman who is either currently pregnant or within one year postpartum. Dual-income households are those where both spouses work 20 hours or more per week. Families with multiple children refer to households with two or more minor children (under 18 years old) as of the announcement date.

The support scale is a total of 300 households, with priority given to households experiencing care gaps due to disabilities, illnesses, or other reasons affecting themselves or family members.

A household helper visits the home to provide household services such as cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing for 4 hours per session, up to 10 sessions free of charge. Services such as cooking, wardrobe organization, child care, and pet-related services are not provided.

Service hours are available only on weekdays (9 AM to 6 PM) and Saturdays (9 AM to 1 PM). The service must be used by November, and any unused services after that will expire.

Applicants can check the required supporting documents for each eligibility category, such as health insurance payment certificates, on the Seoul-type Household Service website and apply online.

Application results, including eligibility and priority, will be individually notified via text message after review.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children in the area apply for the Seoul-type Household Service to find a balance between work and life for moms and dads." He added, "We will continue to promote various projects and policies for a family-friendly Geumcheon."
